This antique American coin silver spoon was made by the Southern silversmith John Ewan of Charleston, South Carolina between 1823 and 1852. The handle is monogrammed as pictured. The spoon measures 7 1/8” long by 1 3/8” wide across the bowl and it weighs 31.3 grams. The back is marked as pictured J. Ewan for John Ewan of Charleston South Carolina, active 1823 to 1852. CONDITION: Light wear for the age with no dents but a little knurl at the tip of the bowl as pictured. Monogrammed as pictured.
