Antique Roman marble hand fragment of an amazon dating 1st to 3rd century AD

For sale is an antique marble fragment of a hand. The beautifully carved hand was most likely once part of a Roman copy of the wounded amazon by Phidias or Polyklet. It can be dated to the 1st until 3rd century A. D. The details on this piece are intriguing. In particular the finger-nails are very well done showing much detail and giving a real life feeling to this piece. I bought the item at an auction in Munich. According to the description of the item, it once came from an old German private collection and was acquired in the 1970s/1980s at an antique dealer shop in Europe.  Height: about 6 cm Length: about 6 cm
